Lukman Edwindra

Hello! I am a first-generation college graduate from Indonesia working as a pre-doctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. My research interests include urban economics in developing country settings. I obtained a master's degree in public policy at the University of Chicago. Previously, I worked as a research assistant studying female migrant workers in Indonesia. While at the University of Chicago, I estimated the causal impact of conflicts of interest among federal judges on judicial outcomes and explored the causal identification of college rankings in the United States.

Outside of work, I enjoy learning languages. Currently, I focus on Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish. I practice with native speakers and maintain a 1,200+ day streak on Duolingo.

My first name is pronounced /lʊk.mɑn/. You can call me Luk(e), too.
